No. 25 Skidmore tops St. Lawrence, 5-2, on the road

Yuval Goodman has wins at first singles and first doubles.
CANTON, N.Y. – The Skidmore College men's tennis team earned a 5-2 road win at St. Lawrence on Sunday afternoon in Canton.
  • Skidmore, ranked 25th nationally, is one of two unbeaten teams left in the Liberty League. The Thoroughbreds are 5-0, while Vassar is 7-0.
  • Yuval Goodman was a double winner for the Thoroughbreds. At first doubles, he and Harrison Gradin disposed over David/David, 6-3.
  • Later, he won 6-3, 6-3 over Joshua David in singles.
  • Skidmore earned the point in doubles as Nika Mori and Fletcher King defeated Boada/Naughton, 6-4.
  • None of the six singles matches went to a third set.
  • At second singles, Kyle Lundberg outdueled Jake David 6-4, 6-4.
  • The Saints picked up wins at No. 3 and No. 6, but Ege Topbas and Radin Sadeghi had convincing victories, dropping just a combined four games, to help clinch the match.
UP NEXT
Skidmore has three matches next weekend to close out the regular season. It begins Saturday morning with a showdown with Vassar, before meeting Bard on the way home in the afternoon. On Sunday, Skidmore will host Ithaca to finish the regular season.
