POTSDAM, NY – The No. 15 Skidmore College men's lacrosse team scored six unanswered goals over the final 11:20 of the fourth quarter to rally past Clarkson, 11-7, on the road Saturday afternoon.
The Thoroughbreds (10-2, 3-1 Liberty League) recorded 30 shots on goal and featured four multi-goal scorers, overcoming a strong 19-save performance from the Golden Knights (7-4, 1-3 Liberty League) goalkeeper, who kept Skidmore's offense in check with 16 saves through the first three quarters before the late fourth-quarter surge.

Marc Gadbois delivered a similarly standout performance with 12 saves, adding a ground ball and his first career assist to earn his 12th career victory while anchoring a Skidmore defense that allowed just two second-half goals and 19 total shots on goal.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Thoroughbreds jumped out to a fast start, as freshman Conor Geier and sophomore Michael Aiello, who tallied a pair of goals, helped Skidmore take an early 3-0 lead with 7:43 remaining in the first quarter.
- Clarkson responded with consecutive scores to cut the deficit to one before Aiello completed his first-quarter hat trick off an assist from freshman Ollie Rice to extend the lead to 4-2 with 4:55 to go.
- The Golden Knights closed the quarter with a goal to again trim the lead to one, then carried that momentum into the second, scoring twice in a shutout period to take a 5-4 lead into halftime.
- In the third, Clarkson extended its lead to two with a goal at the 11:32 mark, before freshman Joseph Killcommons broke up a potential back-to-back scoreless quarters for Skidmore, finding the back of the net with 21 seconds remaining off a goalie assist from Gadbois to cut the deficit to 6-5.
- After Clarkson opened the fourth with a goal to push the lead back to two at the 11:59 mark, Skidmore answered just 39 seconds later with a goal from senior David Koffler off an assist from Geier.
- Following a scoreless stretch, Skidmore evened the game at 7-7 on a solo goal from Geier with 4:40 remaining. Just 23 seconds later, sophomore Shaun Costello gave the Thoroughbreds the lead at 8-7 off a feed from junior Jack Holmes.
- The Thoroughbreds continued their run, as goals from Killcommons, senior Marty McFadden, and Koffler over the final 3:30 sealed the comeback victory.
