SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY – The Skidmore College women's lacrosse team cruised past Bard, 23-2, to cap off a memorable Senior Day at Wachenheim Field on Saturday afternoon.
Capturing their first conference win of the season, the Thoroughbreds (5-6, 1-3 Liberty League) jumped out to an early 6-1 lead over the Raptors (1-6, 0-3 Liberty League) through the first quarter, before pouring on 11 unanswered goals in the second quarter to force an early running clock and put the game out of reach.
Skidmore was led by a trio of terrific performances from the senior class on their big day, as
Allison Brewer and
Julia Cafasso combined for nine goals and three assists.
Brooke LaVallee added an all-around performance, scoring her first goal of the season while recording a team-high six draw controls and two caused turnovers.
Following the game, the program honored the seven members of the Class of 2026 with Senior Day celebrations: Brewer, Cafasso,
Amanda Gardner,
Lily Hudner,
Isabella Iannone, LaVallee, and
Lily Tracy.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Brewer scored first in the opening minute of the game off the feed from junior Phoebe Ross to give Skidmore the 1-0 lead.
- The Raptors answered minutes later with a solo player-up goal to tie the game up at the 11:59 mark.
- Skidmore responded with the final five goals of the quarter, with sophomore Olivia Emerson notching a first quarter hat trick, while Brewer and Cafasso added on with a goal each.
- The Thoroughbreds scored 11 unanswered goals in the second quarter to force the running clock and take a commanding 17-1 lead, with Brewer and Cafasso both tallying three goals apiece while Ross, junior Charlotte Taylor, freshman Ella Koosis, LaVallee, and sophomore Hillary Noble each scored once.
- In the third quarter, Ross tacked on two more goals, while freshman Lauren Hughey and sophomore Keara Battagliese each added on with one goal apiece, as Skidmore extended the lead to 21-1 heading into the fourth.
- In the final period, Bard scored first on a free position shot at the 13:05 mark, before the Thoroughbreds rounded out the match with the first career goal from freshman Pyper Watson and another score from Battagliese.

- Brewer led the team with five goals to go with one assist.
- Cafasso finished with four goals and two assists.
- Ross finished with three goals and five assists, to go with three groundballs and a pair of caused turnovers.
- LaVallee led the team with six draw controls to go with one goal, one assist and two caused turnovers.
- Emerson recorded three goals to go with one caused turnover.
- Noble tallied one goal, one assist and four draw controls.
- Hughey finished with one goal and two assists.
- Koosis tallied one goal, one assist and four groundballs.
- Watson recorded one goal, one assist, two caused turnovers, two groundballs and two draw controls.
