No. 37 Skidmore wins fifth straight, 5-2, over TCNJ

EWING, N.J. – The Skidmore College men's tennis team began its weekend road trip in New Jersey with a 5-2 win over The College of Jersey on Saturday afternoon.
  • Skidmore (7-3), ranked 37th nationally, claimed the doubles point in a dramatic tiebreak and then won each of the final three singles matches after the hosts tied it up at two.
  • Nika Mori, Fletcher King, and Ege Topbas each won twice for the Thoroughbreds.
  • King and Mori won the doubles point for Skidmore with a 7-4 decision in the tiebreak.
  • King made it 2-0 with a 6-2, 6-4 win over Sidd Arudi at sixth singles.
  • After the Lions won the next two to even the match at two, King finished off a straight-set, 6-1, 6-2 win over Nathan Chan to put Skidmore back up by one.
  • Soon after, Radin Sadeghi clinched the match with a 6-3 decision in the third set over Brett Schuster.
  • Topbas got a 6-1, 6-2 win at fourth singles to close it out.
