SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The No. 35 Skidmore College men's tennis team earned a decisive 6-1 victory over RIT on Saturday at the McCaffery-Wagman Tennis and Wellness Center.
- The Thoroughbreds secured the doubles point with wins at No. 2 and No. 3. Kyle Lundberg and Ege Topbas rolled to a 6-2 victory at second doubles, while Radin Sadeghi and Mahen Bitkuri added a 6-4 win at third doubles.
- Skidmore carried that momentum into singles, winning five of six matches to seal the result.
- Lundberg was dominant at No. 2 singles, earning a 6-2, 6-1 victory, while Fletcher King battled through a tight match at No. 3, winning 7-5, 7-6 (7-1).
- Topbas added a convincing 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 4.
- Sadeghi delivered one of the most dramatic wins of the day at No. 5, rallying for a 5-7, 6-2, 10-2 victory in a third-set tiebreak.
- Nika Mori capped the scoring with a 6-1, 6-3 win at No. 6 singles.
- RIT's lone point came at No. 1 singles.
- With the win, Skidmore improves to 6-3 overall and 2-0 in conference play. RIT is 6-5 and 1-1.
