FORT MYERS, Fla. – The Skidmore College baseball team earned a pair of wins Wednesday in Florida, defeating Rockford University 8-6 in the rubber game of the series before erupting for 19 runs in a rout of Hiram College.
- Skidmore (5-1) pounded 33 hits, including 10 extra-base knocks, in the sweep. The Thoroughbreds had a team batting average over .400 and limited their two opponents to just two extra-base hits.

Game 1 – Skidmore 8, Rockford 6
- Skidmore secured the rubber game of the series with an 8-6 victory over Rockford.
- The Thoroughbreds collected 13 hits, including five doubles, a triple, and a home run.
- Eddie Galvao led the offense with a 3-for-5 performance, including a home run and double while scoring three runs.
- Jack Collins added three hits and drove in three runs, including two doubles.
- Holden Caney went 2-for-4 with a triple and an RBI.
- Nate Vandersea doubled and drove in a run.
- Nick Duryea recorded a double and an RBI while reaching base three times.
- Skidmore scored in each of the first four innings to build an early lead, including a three-run third inning.
- Rockford chipped away with runs in the second, fifth, and sixth innings.
- The Regents added two runs in the eighth to close within two, but Skidmore held on.
- Nick Palovich earned the win, allowing three runs over five innings with seven strikeouts.
- Charles Modlin and Sam Dalsimer combined to close out the final four innings in relief.

Game 2 – Skidmore 19, Hiram 7
- Skidmore plated runs in six out of nine innings with multiple scores in five frames including five in the sixth and six in the eighth.
- The Thoroughbreds tallied 20 hits – 17 of them singles.
- Collins and Matthew O'Neill both finished 3-for-5. Collins drove in three runs and scored twice, while O'Neill scored three and drove in a pair.
- Six others had multi-hit outings, and 10 players in all recorded knocks.
- The Thoroughbreds also stole eight bases. Jack Riva and Tyler Holm both had two. Holm also used his wheels to leg out a triple.
- Mac Cady and Quinn McDonald both had two-RBI doubles for the other two Skidmore extra-base hits. Cady walked three times and reached base in five out of his six plate appearances and finished with three RBI.
- On the hill, Henry Fuerst got the win in the predetermined pitching situation. He allowed two runs (one earned) over three two-hit innings.
- Zach Dines closed the door with three shutout innings for the save.
