POTSDAM, NY – The Skidmore College women's lacrosse team suffered a 14-10 defeat at Clarkson to wrap up the weekend road trip on Saturday afternoon.
The Thoroughbreds (6-9, 3-6 Liberty League) took a narrow halftime lead off a first half hat trick from senior
Lily Schwartzman, but a furious nine-goal second half scoring burst from the Golden Knights (9-6, 3-5 Liberty League) ultimately proved to be the difference as Clarkson pulled away late.
HOW IT HAPPENED

- It was all Clarkson in the third quarter, as the home team scored five unanswered goals to start off the frame and limited the Thoroughbreds to a lone goal from Lockwood in the final minutes of the quarter. The Golden Knights took a 10-7 lead into the final period of play.
- In the fourth, Clarkson built on the lead with two early goals to push the lead to five goals, 12-7, before freshman Keara Battagliese stopped the momentum with a solo score.
