Skidmore falls to No. 14 Rensselaer in return to league play

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The Skidmore College men's tennis team lost to Rensselaer, 5-2, on Saturday afternoon at the McCaffery-Wagman Tennis and Wellness Center.
  • Skidmore is 6-6 overall and 1-1 in the Liberty League after playing its first league match since October.
  • The Engineers, ranked 14th nationally, are 10-3 and 3-0.
  • RPI won two out of the three doubles matches.
  • Harrison Gradin and Kyle Lundberg won 6-4 over Luis Vega/Yemula in the No. 3 match.
  • Lundberg won his second match of the day in fifth singles, when he came from down a set to win 4-6, 6-4, 6-4.
  • Adel Aissaoui picked up the other Thoroughbred point in singles, also from behind. He dropped the first set 6-4 before 6-2 and 7-5 wins.
  • Fletcher King claimed the first set in his singles match at No. 3 before ultimately falling 4-6, 6-2, 6-1.
