BUFFALO, N.Y. – The host Bengals scored two goals within the first minute of periods to blank the Skidmore College men's hockey team, 4-0, on Friday evening.
- Buffalo State netted goals at the 45 second mark of the first period and again 25 seconds into period two, coupled with a goal late in the first period and one more in the third, for the 4-0 win.
- Skidmore drops to 3-4-2 and 1-3-1 in the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC).
- Buff State is 5-3-1 and 2-1-1.
- Aaron Andrade broke free down the right wing and scored to put the host Bengals up early. Michael Marquez and Lucas Signoretti assisted.
- Then, Jake Meure made it 2-0 on a bank shot from behind the goal line with 5:53 left in the opening period.
- Andrade scored his second 24 seconds into period two on a shot from distance when a couple Skidmore players got tied up in front.
- Signoretti, who also assisted on the first and third goals, added Buffalo State's fourth goal on a short breakaway with 10:22 remaining.
- The hosts finished with a 36-30 edge in shots on goal.
- Ben Dardis had a 30-save shutout for the Bengals, while Kyle Ozgun had 32 saves for the Thoroughbreds.
- Both teams were 0-for-2 on the power play.
