NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Thoroughbreds scored two in the third period, but it wasn't enough to erase a three-goal deficit as the Skidmore College hockey team lost 4-2 on Friday evening at Albertus Magnus College.
- First-year Shane Baker scored both Skidmore goals on the power play.
- Mitchell Floccare and Coleman Jenkins recorded the assists on both Skidmore goals.
- The Falcons scored twice in a 39-second span near the end of the first period, and added another at the 5:37 mark of the third for the 3-0 advantage.
- Baker notched his second goal in as many games from Waltman at the 10:51 mark of the third to put Skidmore on the board.
- Albertus Magnus regained its three-goal advantage with an empty-net goal at 16:44.
- Then, after a roughing penalty put Skidmore on the power play, Day connected from Floccare and Jenkins with 31 seconds left for the 4-2 final.
- Albertus Magnus had goals from four different players: Robert Barrasso, Caden Pattison, Justin Sullivan, Zane Kindrachuk.
- Skidmore finished 2-for-5 with the power play, while Albertus converted once in three tries.
- The Thoroughbreds held with a 27-26 edge in shots. Tommy Aitken had 22 saves, while Chace Hale tallied 25 in the win for the hosts.
