Colby Paul scored off a third-quarter penalty corner, but the Skidmore College field hockey team dropped a 3–1 Liberty League decision at Union on Friday afternoon at Frank Bailey Field. Goalkeeper
Nicole Sylvestri made nine saves for the Thoroughbreds.
- The hosts dominated the opening quarter, finishing with all six of the period's shots and a 4-0 edge in penalty corners, but were not able to find the back of the cage to take the lead.
- Union (9-6, 4-1 Liberty League) struck twice in the second quarter—at 16:11 (Rachel Ostiguy from Megan Dorsey) and 18:13 (Maddie Greco from Amy Vytopilova)—to take a 2–0 halftime lead.
- Skidmore (7-8, 2-3 Liberty League) halved the deficit at the very end of the third quarter, when Paul finished a corner sequence started by Ella Costa, who earned the assist. The goal came moments after a Union green card at 44:36.
- Pushing for the equalizer, Skidmore pulled its goalkeeper for an extra field player with 4:29 remaining; Union sealed it with 10 seconds remaining through Maggie Monaghan (Rowan Dapson).
- Sylvestri stopped four shots in the first quarter and nine overall for Skidmore. Union's Sophie Brady made three saves.
- Union finished with a 16–6 shots advantage (12–4 on goal) and a 12–4 edge in penalty corners.
- Costa led Skidmore with two shots on goal and recorded the assist; Mia Angwin added a shot on target. Defenders Gianna DiGioacchino, Brynn Charron, and Brooke Golden logged 60 minutes.
