CAMBRIDGE, Mass. / MEDFORD, Mass. – The Skidmore College men's tennis team played a pair of non-league matches against nationally ranked teams. Skidmore dropped an 8-1 decision to #29 MIT before falling 9-0 at #11 Tufts.
MIT 8, Skidmore 1
- Skidmore picked up a win at No. 6 singles. Griffin Biernat cruised to a 6-2, 6-1 triumph over MIT's Nguyen.
- Kyle Lundberg went the distance at fifth singles against Gallagher. He lost a 10-8, third-set tiebreak.
- Biernat and Louis Bourn won five games together in their doubles match at No. 2.
Tufts 9, Skidmore 0
- Nika Mori narrowly lost the race to seven (7-6) at second singles against Acaroglu. He won nine games total.
- Bourn, Kyle Lundberg, and Harrison Gradin each won four singles games. Biernat won five.
