CORTLAND, N.Y. – In a doubleheader originally scheduled to be played in Saratoga Springs and moved to a neutral site in Cortland, the Skidmore College baseball team split with SUNY Brockport. The Thoroughbreds won the first game, 8-3, before the Golden Eagles game back with a 10-3 win in game two.

Skidmore 8, Brockport 3
- Skidmore took the lead in the top of the first on a two-run Eddie Galvao double.
- Brockport got one back, an unearned run, in the bottom of the first.
- Skidmore smashed six hits including three doubles in the third to extend its lead to 7-1. Sam Kornet hit a two-run double in the inning. Owen Roy and Ewen Donald also hit run-scoring doubles. Shaw Pedemonti drove in another with a single in an inning that saw Skidmore send nine batters to the plate.
- The Thoroughbreds plated one more in the fifth on a Pedemonti RBI double.
- Brockport scored single runs in the sixth and seventh on run-scoring doubles from TJ Strevell and Frank Vanzillotta.
- Skidmore hit seven doubles. Donald had two of them.
- Roy was 3-for-4 with two runs scored. As was Zachary Leiderman out of the three-hole in Skidmore's lineup. Pedemonti and Donald both finished with a pair of hits.
- Ameer Hasan scattered seven hits over six innings but limited the damage by not issuing any walks or any hit batters. He allowed just two runs, one earned, with eight strikeouts. He has tossed four straight quality starts with just four earned runs allowed over his last 25.2 innings of work during that time.

Brockport 10, Skidmore 3
- Brockport scored at least once in each of the first six innings including a four-spot in the second and two in the third.
- Holden Caney and Zach Dines had RBI singles to highlight Skidmore's three-run fifth.
- Zach Eldred went 3-for-4 with four RBI to lead Brockport. Logan Wang drove in three runs. He was 2-for-4.
- Tyler Pohlman got the win in relief for the Golden Eagles. He tossed three shutout innings.
- Christian Giresi fired a perfect seventh for Skidmore with a pair of strikeouts.

NEXT UP: Skidmore has a pair of non-league games scheduled against Castleton (Monday) and Cobleskill (Tuesday) before a three-game weekend series with Vassar. The Thoroughbreds host the Brewers for a doubleheader next Saturday.
