SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The Skidmore college volleyball team gave visiting Williams a handful on Tuesday evening in a straight set defeat (25-19, 25-13, 29-27). Skidmore drops to 2-2 on the young season, while Williams filled the win category in its first chance.

- Rudi Reyes and Jo Blanco led Skidmore with four kills apiece. Blanco added three blocks, and Reyes had two.
- Skidmore had 14 blocks on the evening to walk away with a 14-6 overall edge in the department. Jazlin Chen led all players with five blocks. She also had three kills and a pair of service aces.
- Noa Berger and Madison Manning also had two aces each. Berger finished with 12 assists while Manning tallied nine digs.
- Ella Kretten posted 12 digs and four assists.
- Ella Harris and Carolyn Scott tallied three kills apiece.
- Williams was led by Marit Hoyem and Celia Adams with 10 kills each.
- The Thoroughbreds trailed by as much as eight points, 14-6, in the third set. Skidmore went on a 7-2 run to pull to within three. Williams countered with a quick 4-2 spurt before Skidmore used a pair of Manning aces, two Scott kills, and one more from Reyes to tie it at 21.
- Skidmore stood up against four match points before the Ephs were finally able to put it away.
