CANTON, N.Y.—The Skidmore College men's lacrosse team gave #8 St. Lawrence all it could handle before the Saints were able to pull away in the second half for a 13-8 Liberty League win Saturday afternoon. The Thoroughbreds are 7-4 and 1-2 in Liberty League play, while the Saints are 10-1 and 2-1.

• Charlie McFadden topped the Thoroughbred offense with two goals and an assist. Caleb Lawson added a pair of goals. The team got single goals from Max Heberlein, Jimmy Gibbons, Tim Blue, and Nicolo Mazzocca.
• Skidmore built a 2-0 lead with late first quarter goals from Mazzocca at 4:27 and McFadden at 3:06. The Saints beat the buzzer with their first goal at the :09 mark to cut the Thoroughbred lead to 2-1 after one.
• St. Lawrence tied it before Tim Blue put Skidmore back in front with a man-up goal at 8:52. The Saints then scored four straight bridging into the third quarter for a 6-3 lead.
• Lawson cut it to 6-4 with his ninth goal of the season at 10:15 of the third. It stayed a two-three goal game with the teams trading the next six goals.
• St. Lawrence was able to put together consecutive scored at 12:18 and 11:47 of the fourth quarter for an 11-7 lead. Lawson scored his second of the game at 10:48 to cut it to 11-8, but the Saints added a pair of insurance goals for the 13-8 final.
• Colin Kuester had 19 saves in net, 14 in the first half, to keep the Thoroughbreds in the game.
