ITHACA, N.Y. – The Skidmore College women's lacrosse team traveled to nationally 22^nd-ranked Ithaca College to close the regular season on Saturday. Despite the Bombers' 20-6 win, league results elsewhere clinched a playoff spot for the Thoroughbreds.
 

• Skidmore finishes the regular season 8-8 and 4-6 in the Liberty League. The seventh-seeded Thoroughbreds will go back to Ithaca for a first-round contest on Tuesday, May 2. Start time is to be determined.
• Skidmore scored the first goal of the game in its first possession and got it tied at two at the 8:28 mark of the first quarter. Ithaca scored 11 unanswered goals until a 4-0 Skidmore run made it 13-6. The host Bombers scored the contest's final seven goals.
• Gabriella Modesti scored three goals to lead Skidmore offensively.
• Maddy Marr, Grace deBenedictis, and Julia Cafasso each scored once.
• deBenedictis also caused two turnovers and led Thoroughbred field players with three ground balls.
• Ella Harris had five draw controls. deBenedictis and Maeve McKinley finished with two apiece.
• Liv Kazanjian made eight saves for Skidmore with four ground balls and a caused turnover.
• Ithaca used five points each from Maizy Veitch (4-1—5) and Chloe Nordyke (3-2—5).
• Skidmore finished tied for seventh with Rochester, but earned the postseason spot thanks to a head-to-head victory over the Yellowjackets last weekend.
