Offense on point in 21-2 lax win

EMERSON, Ga.— Elizabeth Walsh and Gabriella Modesti scored four goals each to lead the Skidmore College women's lacrosse team to a 21-2 win over Birmingham Southern Monday at the Lakepoint Complex. The Thoroughbreds are 3-1, while the Panthers are 1-6.
  • Webb added seven draw controls and two ground balls, while Modesti had three ground balls.
  • Amelia Bassett had two goals and two assists for four points. Avery Geddes and Allison Brewer scored two goals each. Maddy Marr and Sophie Craco had a goal and two assists each.
  • Marissa Henderson and Margot Peters accounted for the Birmingham Southern scoring.
  • Walsh scored twice in the first :46 to set the tone. Skidmore led 8-1 after one and put together 15-straight goals for a 17-1 lead before Southern scored early in the third quarter.
  • Skidmore had a 43-4 shot advantage.
  • Phoebe Beshlian and Liv Kazanjian combined for two saves.
  • Skidmore will wrap its southern trip on March 15 against Dickinson.
