Strong second half carries Bombers past Thoroughbreds 75-56

ITHACA, N.Y.—Ithaca College broke open a two-point game, by outscoring Skidmore College 44-27 in the second half in a 75-56 Liberty League win over the Thoroughbreds Saturday evening. The loss drops Skidmore to 10-11 overall and 8-6 in league play. The Bombers are 14-6 and 10-3.
  • Riley Greene led Skidmore with 16 points, five assists, a block and a steal. Tautvydas Kupstas added 10 points and two assists. Greg Skoric contributed a game-high 16 rebounds to go along with seven points.
  • Logan Wendell led four Ithaca players in double figures with 16 points. Luka Radovich had 12 points and 11 rebounds.
  • Despite going 9-26 (25%) from the floor in the first half, Skidmore kept it close, leading 15-7 early. Ithaca used a 15-2 run to go in front 22-17 with 8:49 to play. The game stayed a two possession game the rest of the half, with Greene closing the stanza with a deep three, leaving Ithaca up 31-29.
