- Before the game, the team honored Kupstas for hitting the 1,000 point mark at Vassar. He now has 1050 points and sits 16th all-time, two points behind Andre Cook '94.
- COACH Joe Burke: "We showed some resilience tonight. Ithaca can create some matchup problems so we needed to get a little creative. We didn't play great but we executed the game plan and found a way at the end. This group has a knack for closing out close games, I just wish we didn't make so many of them so close. Â Have to commend Riley for stepping up and making the 3 free throws at the end. Kid lives in the gym and when you do that good things happen.Â
Â
"The challenge for us has been bringing the energy and focus every night. We didn't do that last weekend and need to make that adjustment tomorrow and get more consistent. RPI is a very good team and it is no secret that we knocked them out of the playoffs last year on their home court. Â I am sure they will bring an edge with them so we will have to match it."
- NEXT UP: Skidmore will host defending league champion RPI on Saturday at 4 p.m. The Engineers are tied with the Thoroughbreds for second place after a 70-63 double overtime loss to Vassar on Friday.
