Skidmore falls on the road to #4 Union

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – The Skidmore College men's lacrosse team dropped a midweek Liberty League contest on the road to nationally fourth-ranked Union, 19-7.
 
  • Charlie McFadden led the Thoroughbreds offensively with two goals and two assists for four points.
  • Charlie Kessler posted a goal and an assist.
  • Jon Bouvier, Brian Gonsalves, Alex Carpenter, and Tommy McGarrahan all scored once for Skidmore (5-7, 0-5 Liberty)
  • For the Dutchmen, Peter Burnes and Keaton McCann both went for six goals and three assists to post a matching nine points.
  • Peter Kip scored twice for the high-powered Union (12-1, 4-1 Liberty) offense.
  • Hayden Frey had a goal and two assists, while Brian Davis had one and three.
  • Union scored all four of the goals in the first period before the Thoroughbreds got on the board early in the second.
  • Skidmore trailed by four, 8-4, at the break after trading goals in the second quarter.
  • Skidmore got back to within five, 11-6, before the Dutchmen went on a game-ending 8-1 run.
