NORTHFIELD, Vt. – Norwich University rebounded from its first loss of the season to beat Skidmore College 4-1 Saturday in New England Hockey Conference action. The loss halts a five-game win streak for the Thoroughbreds who are 5-2 and 1-1 in NEHC play. The Cadets are 4-1 and 3-1.

• Clark Kerner scored at 2:52 of the first and Johnny Johnson scored a power-play goal at 12:55 to put the Cadets up 2-0 after one.
• Thomas Finck scored the lone Skidmore goal at 1:45 of the second from Freddie Illias and Jaden York. Norwich came right back on a Paul Schmid goal at 6:47 for a 3-1 lead after two.
• Schmid capped the game at 8:30 of the third for the 4-1 final.
• Tate Brandon had 26 saves for the Thoroughbreds.
• NEXT UP: PACK THE RINK! Skidmore will host Babson on Nov. 18 at 7 p.m. in a rematch of the 2022 NEHC Championship game. Fans that bring a canned good will receive a free t-shirt and free admission.
