POTSDAM, N.Y. – The Skidmore College women's volleyball team fell to first-place Clarkson in three sets (25-18, 25-13, 25-14) on the road on Friday evening to kick off a three-match weekend in the North Country.
 

• The Thoroughbreds gave the Golden Knights all they could handle in the first set. The score was tied at 14 and then again at 15, but a Skidmore (7-13, 2-5 Liberty League) service error catapulted a 5-1 Clarkson (12-9, 7-0 Liberty League) run to snuff the threat.
• Clarkson led wire-to-wire in the second and third games.
• Grace Aronson led the way for Skidmore with six kills.
• Carolyn Scott posted four kills, while Chelsea Winegar had three.
• Alex Estey played a hand in 3-of-4 Skidmore blocks, including one solo block.
• Tiffany Flores had a team-high three aces and nine assists.
• Elizabeth Miller tallied 15 digs. Winegar had nine.
• NEXT UP: The Thoroughbreds round out the weekend road trip with matches vs. Bates at 2 p.m. and Potsdam at 4 p.m. at Clarkson.
