ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y.—The Skidmore College volleyball team finds itself in a three-way tie for first in the Liberty League after a 3-1 (20-25,25-20,25-18,25-8) win over Bard College Saturday.
The Thoroughbreds are 2-0 in league play and 6-7 overall, the Raptors are 4-8 and 1-1. Skidmore is tied with Ithaca and RIT at the top
of the league standings.
Bard opened with a 25-20 win in the first, but Skidmore rebounded with a 25-20 win in the second and then pulled away with wins in the
third and fourth.
Zoe Beals had 16 kills, while
Chelsea Winegar added 14 digs and nine kills.
Frida Anguiano and
Elizabeth Miller had four aces each,
while Miller registered 13 digs.
Grace Aronson chipped in four blocks and a pair of aces.
Skidmore will host Middlebury College on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
