CANTON, N.Y.—Playing for the first time in 17 days, the Skidmore College men's lacrosse team dropped a 17-9 Liberty League decision to #10 St. Lawrence Saturday.
The Thoroughbreds are 1-1 and 0-1 in the Liberty League, while the Saints move to 3-0 and 2-0.
After staking SLU to a 5-1 lead, Skidmore battle back to get within two, 6-4 on
Chris Bucking's man-up goal at 14:37 of the second quarter. The Saints scored seven of the next eight to open it up 13-5 with 9:27 to play in the third. The teams played even the rest of the way for the 17-9 final.
Charlie Kessler had two goals and an assist and
Brandon Reilly had two goals for the Thoroughbreds.
Christopher Downey had a career-high 20 saves in goal.
Skidmore hosts Union College on April 7 at 5 p.m.
