CANTON, N.Y.—The Skidmore College women's lacrosse team dropped an 18-11 Liberty League contest to St. Lawrence University Friday afternoon.
 
The loss drops the Thoroughbreds to 2-3 overall and 0-3 in Liberty League play. The Saints are 3-3 and 2-3. The teams will complete the series Saturday at 2 p.m. at Wachenheim Field.
 
Grace Connerty led the Thoroughbreds with six goals and five draw controls. Amelia Bassett added three goals and three assists. Madelyn Marr had a goal and an assist and Avery Geddes had a goal. Karenna Benanti recorded a game-high five ground balls.
 
Rachel Burke led the Saints with four goals and three assists for seven points. Kylie Murphy scored four goals and had an assist, while Isabel Silvia had three goals and an assist.
 
Cate Spaulding had five second-half saves for the Thoroughbreds.
