SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.—The Skidmore College women's lacrosse team used a balanced scoring attack to remain unbeaten with a 19-1 win over Castleton University.

The Thoroughbreds (2-0) had 10 different players score goals.

Amelia Bassett led Skidmore with four goals.
Gabriella Modesti had three goals, while
Becca Leopold,
Maeve McKinley,
Sophia Craco, and
Avery Geddes had two goals each. Geddes and
Madelyn Marr had three assists each, while McKinley had two.

McKinley,
Lilly Kishore and
Claire Loos had three caused turnovers each.
Lara Strunk had a team-high five draws. Kishore added a game-high five ground balls.

Bassett set the tone with a goal 13 seconds into the game. The Thoroughbreds scored the first eight goals, before the Spartans got on the board with 18:09 left in the first half. That would be it for Castleton with Skidmore scoring the game's final 11 goals for the 19-1 win.

The Thoroughbreds used three goalies.
Phoebe Beshlian had two saves over the first 30:00, while
Olivia Kazanjian and
Cate Spaulding had two saves each over the final 30:00.

Skidmore is off until the Liberty League opener at home on April 2 against RIT at 4 p.m.
