SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.—The Skidmore College men's swimming and diving team took to the pool for a meet against Clarkson, marking senior day for Shawn Sharifi and Kyle Hughson.
 
Clarkson won the tight meet 161.50-128.50.
 
Hughson won the 1000 in 11:08.67. Nick Meconiates took first in the 100 back in 58.85. Cyrus Cheung was first in the 200 back (2:13,01) and second in the 200 IM (2:10.25).
 
Ryan Cohen was second in the 100 fly (57.41).
 
Noah Fryou was first in the 3M-Dive (150.45) and tied for second in the 1M (147.30). Sharifi was second in the 3M (109.80).
 
"Our men's team performed very well today," said Skidmore coach Jill Greenleaf. "You could see their excitement in the opportunity to compete. Our swimmers were tough as they finished close races with intensity. Today was an exciting day, and we are proud that the training we've been doing since October was evident in the lanes and on the boards."
 
It was the lone meet of the season for the Thoroughbreds. The Skidmore women take to the pool tomorrow for their Clarkson meet at 1 p.m. No Spectators are allowed.
