ITHACA, N.Y.—The Skidmore College men's and women's swimming and diving teams closed out the Liberty League championships with seven new program records. The meet was held at the Ithaca College Kelsey Partridge Bird Natatorium. Both teams finished fifth. Host Ithaca won the women's title, while RIT was first on the men's side.
  • Nicolas Sodi successfully defended his 1650 free title with a third consecutive win, finishing in 16:18.64. He also set the 100 free record (47.10) on the opening leg of the 400 free relay qualifying heat,
  • Sabrina Reed set the 1650 women's free record with her fifth place time of 17:55.47. April Cook set the 1000 free record on her way to a ninth place in the 1650.
  • Kelly Hsu broke the 100 free record with her ninth place time of 52.76.
  • Liam Keating set the 200 breast record, finishing fourth in 2:06.53.
  • The men's 400 relay set a new standard, finishing fourth in 3:08.18.The finals order was Brendan Lu, Ryan Delfico, Jonah Vaynshtok, and Sodi.
  • The women's 400 relay also set a record. The team of Faye Mooney, Gretchen Gwitt, April Cook, and Hsu finished sixth in 3:37.43.
  • Brandon Lis was seventh in the 200 back in 1:56.74.
  • Caroline Rogers was seventh eighth in the 200 back in 2:13.89.
  • Coach Jill Greenleaf: "I'm very proud of the combined accomplishments of this team. Our women's team moved up a spot in the conference while adding 100+ points to last year's team score. The number of records set in the program this season, and specifically this meet, is incredible. Each year, our athletes inspire each other to be better. Once I've run all the stats I'm certain that our season best and lifetime best times and scores will be in line with our most successful seasons. They simply performed exceptionally throughout this four day meet."
