SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The Skidmore College women's volleyball team lost 3-0 (25-18, 25-20, 25-23) to St. Lawrence University at home on Friday evening.

Both teams are now 3-3 in the Liberty League with one match each to go. Simultaneously on Saturday at 2 p.m., the Liberty League regular season slate closes with four contests. Skidmore will host Clarkson while St. Lawrence will travel to Union. Clarkson defeated Union on Friday to improve to 4-2. With Skidmore and St. Lawrence wins on Saturday, all three teams will be tied for third and a tiebreaker will determine the final seeding. The top-four teams qualify for the Liberty League Tournament.

The Saints are 13-9 overall with the win, while the Thoroughbreds drop to 10-14.

Natalie Piper led all players with 18 kills for St. Lawrence. She finished with a .302 hitting percentage on 43 total attempts with five errors. Rachel Boudreau and Vivian Zymeck finished with three blocks each for the Saints, while Annika Kreppein put down 13 kills.
Sophie Sacco and
Ella Harris both had six kills to lead Skidmore.
Grace Aronson led the match with three service aces. Sacco had three blocks, while
Jessica Shulman and Aronson had two apiece. Shulman also tallied 17 assists. Allie Posnick had 19 assists for St. Lawrence and Dorian Funk had 14.

Skidmore built an 11-8 lead in the first set, but saw it evaporate thanks to an 8-1 St. Lawrence run. The Saints led wire-to-wire in the second set despite a late 8-1 Thoroughbred run. The third set was the most competitive with nine tie scores and four lead changes. St. Lawrence jumped to an early 4-1 edge, but Skidmore fought back to eventually take a three-point lead. The score was then tied at 11, 12, 13, 14, 19, 20, 22, and 23. Consecutive kills by Reagan Collier-Hogan and Piper sealed the sweep for St. Lawrence.
