Mara Chemerinsky, is a double major in economics and history from Newport Beach, Calif. She is a Thoroughbred Society member. Mara was abroad her freshman year but joined the team for her final three years. Sophomore year she helped lead the team to the IHSA National Championship as she showed over fences. Junior year she won her team class at Nationals. Although senior year was cut short, she was the Cacchione (top) rider for the region. Mara was the team MVP her Junior year. After college she hopes to work as an analyst for an NHL team.Â

Sheriden Beard is a health and human physiological science major from Simsbury, Conn. She is a Dean's List student, and a member of the Thoroughbred Society. Sheriden has been on the team since freshman year and has been a captain during her junior and senior years. She has ridden for the team at Nationals since her freshman year and in 2018, she helped the team win the National Championship by winning the Team Novice Over Fences Class. She is the 2020 team MVO. She plans on pursuing a career in global public health.Â

Madelyn Mackey is a physics major from Westwood, Mass. Since joining the team her junior year, she has ridden in seven shows for Skidmore. MJ held strong in her first away show, winning her Walk Trot Canter class and clinching the win for Skidmore and an unbeaten 2019 regular season. In addition to riding, she was a lab tech and research assistant.

Brigid Miniter, is a studio arts major with a concentration in printmaking specifically in lithography from Grand View on Hudson, N.Y. A large part of Brigid's artwork centers around the horse as a muse. She is a member of both the Dean's List as well as the Thoroughbred Society. Brigid is a four-year member of Skidmore's Equestrian Team allowing her to incorporate her love of horses into her Skidmore College experience.

Melanie Allison, is a management and business major from Mansfield, Mass. She is a Dean's List student and a Thoroughbred Society member. As a senior, she was elected captain and qualified for the IHSA Regional Championship as an individual for both intermediate fences and limit flat. After graduation, she will remain in Saratoga Springs to pursue a career in finance at Ayco, a Goldman Sachs company.

Louise Vallely is an English major concentrating in poetry from Larchmont, N.Y. She has been a member of "SkidEq" since her sophomore year as a Walk-Trot rider, consistently bringing home blue ribbons and earning winning points for the team throughout her athletic career. During the 2019 IHSA Nationals, she won third place for Skidmore's team at the Walk-Trot (Now renamed Introductory). She plans on pursuing a career in communications and advertising. Â

Maia Taylor is an environmental studies major from Deerfield, Mass. She learned to ride, while living in Buenos Aires, Argentina for six years. As a first year, she made the equestrian team as a Walk-Trot-Canter rider and competed often in our regular-season shows. She was awarded first place in the Walk-Trot-Canter division at 2018 IHSA Regionals and moved on to individually qualify for IHSA Nationals that year. Her ES Senior Capstone Project focuses on the responsibility of college campuses have to be leaders of native pollinator conservation initiatives, and supporters of local biodiversity through community engagement.Â

Elle Hendricks is a business major from Canfield, Ohio. She had a great senior season, winning her first class of the season in the team's opening show and closing out the year with another win in the Introductory Equitation class in the team's one-point win over Cobleskill.

Gimo Zeng is a business major from Nanjing, China. She began her intercollegiate career in November of her senior year, having immediate success. She finished second in the introductory class in her IHSA debut to help the Thoroughbreds earn a weekend sweep of the Morrisville shows.
