SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.— The Skidmore College athletic department welcomed 113 student athletes into the Thoroughbred Society in a Feb. 17 ceremony held at the Williamson Sports Center.
 
The Thoroughbred Society recognizes student athletes who achieved a grade point average of 3.67 or higher the previous semester.
 
This group includes 19 student-athletes who had a perfect 4.0 GPA in the Fall 2019 semester. The women's swimming and diving team had a 3.524 team GPA, while the women's soccer team compiled a 3.505 GPA. The riders had 13 athletes recognized, while men's ice hockey had 10, including five athletes with a perfect 4.0.
 
The audience heard from softball senior Heather Mak who spoke about her Skidmore experience.
