PAWTUCKET, R.I.—Skidmore scored the game's final three goals in a 3-2 New England Hockey Conference road win over Johnson & Wales University.
The win moves the Thoroughbreds to 8-4-4 overall and 4-3-2 in NEHC play. The Wildcats are 3-13 and 0-9,
After spotting J&W a 2-0 first period lead, Skidmore tied it with a pair of second period goals 44 seconds apart.
Austin Rook scored his fourth of the season at 17:00 from
Owen Campbell and
Nicholas Charron.
Will Steele evened it at 17:44 from
Matthew Monk.
Avery Steele tallied the game winner at 10:06 of the third period from
Callahan Johnson and
Will Steele.
Skidmore outshot the Wildcats 40-37.
Brandon Kasel had 35 saves to improve his record to 7-4-4.
The Thoroughbreds are at Suffolk on Saturday in a 5 p.m. game.
