CHARLESTOWN, Mass.—
Owen Campbell scored two goals and had an assist, while
Brandon Kasel stopped 23 of 24 shots to lead the Skidmore College hockey team to a 4-1 New England Hockey Conference win Saturday evening.

The win competed the weekend sweep and earned four valuable NEHC points for the Thoroughbreds who are 9-4-4 overall and 5-3-2 in league play. The Rams are 5-10-2 and 1-7-2.

Skidmore is tied with Hobart for fourth with 12 points. There are eight games left in the regular season.

Suffolk scored the game's first goal on a power play at 16:40 of the first period.

The Thoroughbreds responded four unanswered goals, starting with three in the second period.

Austin Rook got the ball rolling with a power-play goal at 5:40 from
Reid Russell and
Owen Campbell. Campbell put Skidmore in front with the eventual game winner at 8:54 form
Misha Mrotchek and
Tim Allen.
Callahan Johnson made it 3-1 from Rook and Mrotchek at 12:08.

Campbell tallied his second goal of the game and third of the season at 9:56 of the third.
William Brochu and Russell earned the helpers.

Kasel had 17 of his 23 saves over the final two periods.

Skidmore is back on the road next weekend at Norwich Jan. 24 at 7 p.m. and Castleton on Jan. 25 at 4 p.m.
