ROCHESTER, N.Y.—After dropping the first set, the Skidmore College volleyball team won three straight for a 3-1 (20-25, 25-22, 25-21, 27-25) Liberty League win over RIT Friday night.
It was the league opener for both teams. The Thoroughbreds (6-6, 1-0 Liberty League) travel to Ithaca on Saturday to take on the defending
league champions in a 2 p.m. match. The Tigers (6-8, 0-1) host Union.
Skidmore had a season-high 20 blocks in the win.
Alex Estey led the way with eight.
Lauren Wolters had five to go along with 32 assists, seven digs, three aces and seven kills.
Sophia Hettler and
Frida Anguiano had 17 digs each.
Katy Ehnstrom totaled 12 kills and four blocks.
