NEW PALTZ, N.Y.— Pat Geiger and
Matt Chipkin had three hits each and
Christian Reenstierna earned his third straight save to lead the Skidmore College baseball team to a 7-4 non-league road win over SUNY New Paltz.
The Thoroughbreds (11-9) have won four straight. The Hawks are 10-11.
Skidmore rallied from an early 3-0 deficit with a five-run third inning.
Jake Hardy had a two-run double, while Geiger and Chipkin had one-run doubles in the inning. The Hawks cut it to 5-4 in their half of the inning. Chipkin singled to open the inning, stole second and later scored on a wild pitch to make it 6-4.
Andrew Knight smacked a leadoff double to start the Skidmore eighth. He later scored on a wild pitch for the 7-4 lead.
The Thoroughbreds used six pitchers. Starter
Spencer Anderson got the win. He pitched the first two innings, giving up three runs on four hits.
Tim Allen,
Jack Walter, Jordan Kaiser all had clean innings.
Reenstierna finished it up with two strikeouts in a scoreless ninth.

The Thoroughbreds take on Vassar in a four-game Liberty League series, starting at Skidmore on Saturday at 12 p.m. The teams move to Poughkeepsie for a pair on Sunday at 12 p.m.
