FT. MYERS, Fla.—Three Skidmore pitchers combined for a seven-hit shutout in the team's 1-0 win over Rockford University Friday morning.

The win moves the Thoroughbreds to 4-2 to start the season. Rockford is 3-4.

Skidmore more only managed five hits, but
Sam Browning's second inning solo home run was all the offense the team needed. It was the second round tripper of the season for the sophomore.

Spencer Anderson tossed six shutout innings, working his way out of trouble three times. He allowed six hits and had three walks and four strikeouts.Â
Christian Reenstierna had a scoreless seventh inning and
Jonathan Kaiser allowed one hit with two strikeouts to earn the two inning save.

The Thoroughbreds close out their Florida trip on Saturday with a doubleheader against St. Joseph's College of Long Island.
