FT. MYERS, Fla.—The Skidmore College baseball team closed out its spring trip with a 5-3, 1-6 split with St. Joseph's College of Long Island.
The Thoroughbreds are off to a strong 5-3 start. St. Joseph's is 3-2.
GAME 1
Jay Gamboa moved to 2-0 with the complete game win. He allowed three runs on four hits, struck out seven and walked four. Pat Geiger was 1-3 with a solo home run.
Will Potter was 1-3 with a double and
Justin LaRose and
Sean Lang had RBI singles.
GAME 2
Skidmore plated its lone run in the first inning. Geiger doubled and scored on Potter's RBI single. Starter
Jacob Berish took the loss.
Tim Allen had 2.1 innings of scoreless relief.

The Thoroughbreds return north and jump right into Liberty League play with a pair at Rensselaer on March 23, starting at 12 p.m. The team is scheduled to host Rensselaer on March 24 at 12 p.m.
