Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 TUCSON, Ariz.—The Skidmore College softball team kicked off its season March 10, losing 8-1 to St. Scholastica and 5-4 in eight innings to Mount Mary University.
 
In the first game, St. Scholastica (5-5) broke open a close game with four runs in the bottom of the sixth.
 
Genesis Delgado accounted for the Thoroughbred run with an RBI double that scored Delaney Corbet.
 
Starter Emily Popp (0-1) had five strikeouts through the first 4.1 innings.

Skidmore continues its trip March 11 against Bethany Lutheran College and Dickinson College.
