FT. MYERS, Fla.— The Skidmore College baseball team lost a 4-3 heart breaker to Wisconsin Lutheran Monday morning.
The Thoroughbreds are 1-2 to start the season, while WLC improves to 2-1.
Skidmore scored two runs with two outs in the top of the ninth to tie the game 3-3.

Christian Italiano moved to third on the play and then scored on a passed ball.
Mark Amlunk opened the Warriors opened the bottom of the ninth with a double down the left field line and moved to third on a sacrifice bunt. After an infield pop out, Amlunk scored on a wild pitch for the 4-3 final.
Pat Geiger was 2-4 for the Thoroughbreds. Chipkin scored two runs, walked twice and stole three bases. Potter was 1-5 with two RBI.
Starter
Jacob Berish went five innings, allowing two runs (one earned) on five hits. He struckout four and walked two.
Skidmore will take a day off, returning Wednesday for a pair against Lakeland University, starting at 12 p.m.
