SCHENECTADY, N.Y.—The Skidmore College volleyball team made it look east with a pair of 3-0 wins Friday at the Union College Invitational.
The Thoroughbreds (4-2) cruised past St. Michael's 3-0 (25-16, 25-6, 25-16) and Ramapo (25-11, 25-15, 25-18).
Tournament play concludes Saturday with matches against Buffalo State at 11 a.m. and Williams at 3 p.m.
Against St.Michael's,
Caite Canfield moved past the 1000 career kill mark with a match-high 12 kills.
Sophia Hettler had six aces, seven kills, nine digs and two blocks, while
Lauren Wolters and
Lily Fitzgerald had 15 assists each.
Allie Dillon added 20 digs.
In the Rampo win,
Katy Ehnstrom posted 14 kills and four blocks. Dillon had 13 digs and four aces and Wolters (20) and Fitzgerald combined for 35 assists, while Canfield contributed 13 digs and eight kills.
