POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y.— The Skidmore College volleyball team got off to a good league start with an efficient 3-1 (25-22, 25-22, 15-25, 25-21) win at Vassar College Friday night.

The Thoroughbreds are 9-4 and 1-0 in Liberty League play, while the Brewers are 7-5 and 0-1.

Katy Ehnstrom had a match-high 14 kills to lead Skidmore. Allie Dillon had 25 digs and three aces, while Bailey Hutchins contributed a season-high six blocks. Caite Canfield added 17 digs, nine kills and three blocks of her own. Lauren Wolters (23) and Lily Fitzgerald (21) combined for 43 assists.

The Thoroughbreds look for the weekend league sweep at home Saturday at 4 p.m. against Bard.
