HOBOKEN, N.J. – Doubles proved to be the difference for the No. 26 Skidmore College men's tennis team, as it picked up a 6-3 victory over No. 39 Stevens in non-league action at the Stevens Tennis Courts Saturday afternoon.
Skidmore (10-3) wins its fourth straight match, and will travel to face No. 6 Middlebury Sunday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. Stevens (7-9) will face The College of New Jersey on the road next Wednesday.
Skidmore was a perfect 3-0 in its doubles matches, taking an early lead.

Steven Koulouris picked up an 8-3 victory at No. 1, and the

Jack McClaren pair earned an 8-4 win at No. 3.
Travis Leaf and
Lucas Pickering would then edge out Steven's Danny Polk and Bryan Szayna at No. 2 by a 9-7 margin. The Thoroughbreds and Ducks would then split the remaining six singles matches for the final tally.
In singles, Leaf picked up a 6-2, 6-3 victory at No. 2 over William Persson. Not too long after,
Ted Berkowitz would clinch the match for Skidmore with his 6-2, 6-2 victory at No. 4 over Kyle Henry.
Suraj Mahtani would also earn a point for the Thoroughbreds with his 4-6, 6-2, 10-7 win at No. 6 over Gabriel Sifuentes.
