The Thoroughbreds (6-6, 4-1 Liberty League) saw its perfect start in league play end by a 63-46 loss at Vassar on Tuesday. In that contest,
Kelly Donnelly eclipsed the 1,500-point mark, becoming the second Thoroughbred in program history to do so, joining recent Skidmore Athletics Hall of Famer Jamie Cumpelik. She finished with a team-high 16 points and 11 rebounds for her third double-double of the season.
Donnelly leads the Liberty League in scoring by a narrow margin, averaging 18.6 points per game. The senior is also third in the league in shooting, hitting 45.2 percent of her shots from the field.

RIT comes into the weekend with a 10-1 record, leading the league with a perfect 5-0 record. The defending Liberty League champs knocked off No. 22 Ithaca in overtime on Tuesday, in a 77-66 win. RIT currently leads the league in 3-point field goal defense, with teams shooting 22.6 percent.
Cori Okada leads the team in scoring with 14.1 points per game and leads the league in assists at 3.9. Sabrina Wolfe (12.3), Tara Lynch (12.1), and Jessica Glaz (11.3) round out the double-digit scorers. Amanda Olsen leads the team in rebounds at 5.9.
Skidmore was one of the few teams to beat RIT last season, winning both contests against the Tigers. On Dec. 31, 2016, Skidmore erased a six-point deficit, getting a last-second block to secure a 61-60 win. At RIT on Jan. 13, Skidmore held off a late Tigers rally to pull out a 71-60 win. The teams have split the last four games of the all-time series.
William Smith comes into the weekend with a matching 6-6 record overall, looking for its first league win after an 0-5 start. The Herons dropped a 59-53 decision to RPI in its last game, and will face Bard on Friday before Skidmore comes to town.
The Herons are led by Mia Morrison, who trails only Donnelly in scoring at 18.0 points per game and is one of the leading rebounders at 8.5 boards per contest. Natalia Baum is second on the team, averaging 12 points in seven contests this season. Kendra Quinn-Moultrie is third at 9.7 points. Baum and Juliana Gamboa share the team lead with 2.1 assists per contest.
Skidmore and William Smith split the season series last year, with each team winning on its home court by double-digits.
