PLATTSBURGH, N.Y.—Plattsburgh State scored nine straight goals on the way to 14-5 non-league win over Skidmore Sunday afternoon.
 
The Thoroughbreds drop to 1-2, while the Cardinals are 2-0.
 
Brendan Halloran and Cody Legeza had two goals each to lead Skidmore.  Will Lukas contributed two assists and Chris Melligon had a solo goal.
 
Ryan Hubbard led Plattsburgh with five goals and an assist.
 
Halloran scored the game's first goal at 8:17 of the first quarter from Lukas. The Cardinals scored the next nine goals to break it open 9-1.
 
Skidmore outshot Plattsburgh 37-32. Chris Baughan (6) and Josh Worley (4) combined for 10 saves for the Thoroughbreds.
 
The Thoroughbreds return to action at home Tuesday at 4 p.m. against Trinity College.
