FT. MYERS, Fla.— The Skidmore College baseball team outscored Gallaudet University 19-9 in the night cap of a split doubleheader Thursday in Florida. The Thoroughbreds lost 8-6 to Edgewood College in the first game.

Skidmore (4-3) will close out its spring trip on Friday with a single game against Carroll University.

Against Gallaudet, Sean Klier and Justin Botcher homered, while
Mat Marino had three hits.Â
Matt Chipkin had a bases loaded triple, finishing with four RBI.
Ben Murphy allowed one run in five innings to earn the win.

Will Potter had three hits each.
