SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The Skidmore College women's basketball team looks to keep its recent winning streak going in its last pair of games of the fall semester this week. The Thoroughbreds will travel to Sage College in Albany on Tuesday at 6 p.m., then finish the week at the Williamson Sports Center on Friday against Middlebury at 8 p.m.

The Thoroughbreds (3-2, 2-0 Liberty League) bring a three-game winning streak into this week after playing a trio of dramatic contests last week. Last Tuesday, the Thoroughbreds erased a 23-point, second quarter deficit against previously undefeated Williams College, pulling out the 60-58 victory.
Caite Opfer came alive after halftime in the comeback, finishing with 14 points, four rebounds, three blocks, and three steals. In the Liberty League opener on Friday against St. Lawrence, it was Skidmore who had to hold off a furious Saints comeback after leading by as many as 22 points in the third quarter.
Veronica Moceri tallied a season-high 19 points, adding five assists and two steals in the Thoroughbreds' 63-60 victory. Against Clarkson on Saturday, Skidmore flipped a double-digit deficit, outscoring the Golden Knights 28-12 in the fourth quarter of a 67-57 victory.
Kelly Donnelly was active on both ends of the floor in the win, tallying 18 points, nine rebounds, six assists, three steals and a pair of blocks.
Donnelly leads the Liberty League in scoring at 17.8 points per game and is seventh in rebounding at 6.8 per game. Moceri is second on the team with 11 points per game. Opfer is third on the team in scoring at 8.6 points per game. She averaged 11.7 points on 57 percent shooting from the field during the win streak.
Ari Fustini leads the team in assists, averaging 3.8 helpers per game.
Sage comes into the week with a matching 3-2 record, coming off a narrow 66-63 loss to DeSales on Saturday. The Gators sport four double-digit scorers, led by Emily Parslow at 14 points per game. Genevieve Schoff is second at 13.6 points and is the leading rebounder at 9.0 caroms per game. Macie Holmes (11.6) and Megan Flynn (11.2) round out the double-digit scoring group.
Last season, the Thoroughbreds held off a late Sage charge, defeating the Gators by a 51-48 score on Nov. 28, 2016.
Middlebury comes into the week undefeated at 6-0. The Panthers have a busy week ahead, hosting Plattsburgh on Tuesday and Sage on Thursday, before coming to Saratoga Springs on Friday. In their last game, the Panthers defeated Colby-Sawyer 66-59 in overtime.
The Panthers get a big boost from their bench unit. Betsy Knox leads the team with 11.2 points per game, despite starting in just two of the six games. Maya Davis is second in scoring with 8.0 points per game. Alex Huffman leads the team with 3.2 assists per game.
Last season, Middlebury pulled away late in a 52-47 victory on Dec. 10, 2016. The home team has won the last nine games of the all-time series.
