SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – As the calendar shifts to December, Liberty League action heats up for the Skidmore College men's and women's basketball teams, as they open the league slate with a pair of games at the Williamson Sports Center this weekend.
The Thoroughbreds will take on St. Lawrence on Friday at 6 p.m., ending the weekend on Saturday against Clarkson at 2 p.m.

The Thoroughbreds come into the weekend with a 1-2 record overall after a stunning turnaround Tuesday evening, erasing a 23-point deficit to previously undefeated Williams, eking out a 60-58 victory.
Kelly Donnelly tallied season-highs of 19 points and 10 rebounds adding four steals.
Veronica Moceri added 13 points and eight rebounds, while
Caite Opfer tallied 12 of her 14 points in the second half, adding two blocks and two steals to key the second-half rally.
Through three games, Donnelly leads the team in scoring (16.7 points per game) and rebounding (7.3) She is also 15
th among all Division III players with 4.5 steals per game. Moceri is second in both categories (8.7 points, 5.3 rebounds), with Opfer right behind in third (7.3 points, 3.3 rebounds).
Ari Fustini leads the team in assists, with 3.7 helpers per game.
Lilly Berg has provided a nice spark for the Thoroughbreds off the bench, averaging 5.7 point and 2.7 rebounds, shooting a team-leading 55 percent from the field and 83 percent from the charity stripe.
St. Lawrence comes into the weekend with a 2-1 record overall. They are at the tail end of a five-game road trip to begin the season. In their last contest, the Saints defeated Plattsburgh by a resounding 59-26 score on Tuesday.
Katie Fredrick is the team's lone double-digit scorer at 10.7 points per game, but five players average seven or more points through three games. Fredrick is also the team's leading rebounder at 9.0 caroms per contest.
Last season, Skidmore split the season series with the Saints. After dropping a narrow 54-51 contest at the Williamson Sports Center on Jan. 24, 2017, the Thoroughbreds rebounded with a dominating 68-48 victory in Canton on Feb. 17.
Clarkson comes into the weekend with a 4-2 record. The Golden Knights head to Rensselaer on Friday, before ending the trip in Saratoga Springs the next day. Clarkson has won three of the last four games, including a 69-54 victory over local foe Potsdam on Tuesday.
Devin Sorell leads three Golden Knight double-digit scorers. Sorell averages 16.2 points per game. Madison Shea is second with 11.1 points and also leads the team with 7.2 rebounds. Molly Stewart averages 10.2 points and leads the regulars in free throw percentage at 84.2 percent.
Skidmore and Clarkson renew acquaintances for the first time since the Liberty League Semifinal contest last season, one in which Clarkson pulled off the 75-63 upset at the Williamson Sports Center on Feb. 22. Prior to that contest, Skidmore won both regular season games against the Golden Knights, a 60-46 victory on Jan. 10 and a 67-57 victory in the 2016-17 regular season finale on Feb. 19.
