ANNANDALE, N.Y.—The Skidmore College volleyball team kicked off its league schedule with a 3-2 (109-25, 25-21, 12-25, 26-24, 15-5) win over Union College and a 3-0 loss to RIT (25-21, 25-22, 25-21) in matches played at Bard College Friday night.

The Thoroughbreds (8-6, 1-1 Liberty) travel to Vassar College Saturday to play the Brewers at 12 p.m. and Bard at 2 p.m.

Down 2-1 to Union, Skidmore battled back for a 26-24 win in the fourth set and 15-8 win in the deciding fifth.

Katy Ehnstrom had a team-high 17 kills against Union, including two late in the fourth set win. She also had four blocks.
Caite Canfield had 14 kills and 28 digs, while
Bailey Hutchins added 34 assists and 18 digs. Marcela Familiar had 27 digs and two aces.

Against RIT,
Allie Dillon and Familiar totaled 14 digs each. Ehnstrom contributed four blocks.
