Marisa Caponi scored four goals and had five assists to lead the Skidmore College women's lacrosse team to a 17-1 Liberty League win over Bard College Friday afternoon.

The Thoroughbreds move to 4-6 and 1-2 in Liberty League play and will travel to Vassar for a 2 p.m. game on Saturday. Â

Caponi  had four ground balls and three caused turnovers. She was one of nine Skidmore players to score goals.
Emma Harris contributed three goals, an assist and five ground balls, while
Tyler Phillips had a goal and three assists.
Cas Szwajkowski scored three goals and
Gianna Muscari added two goals.
Tess Mattimore and
Frankie White Levin scored their first goals of the season.

Skidmore led 5-0 after the first 10 minutes on two goals each from Caponi and Harris. The Thoroughbreds extended the lead to 10-0 before Bard got on the board with 10:18 to play in the half. Skidmore tallied two more times to take a 12-1 lead at the half.

The Thoroughbreds controlled the second-half play, finishing with five more goals for the 17-1 win.

Skidmore outshot Bard 31-12 and had a 30-15 ground ball advantage.

Megan Kolopsky had no saves over the first 21:28, while
Taylor Goodwill had five shots the rest of the way.
