SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.—A return to the Liberty League playoffs is on the plate this weekend for the Skidmore College softball team. The Thoroughbreds finish the regular season at home Saturday at 1 p.m. against Rensselaer.

Skidmore (15-21, 5-5 Liberty) could finish anywhere from third to sixth (top four make tournament). The Thoroughbreds are in third, one game in front of Clarkson and RIT. Renssealer (26-8, 8-2) is tied with Rochester for first. St. Lawrence is lurking a game back with two games in hand at 3-5.

Dani DeGregory continues to lead the team in hitting with a .454 average. She has a team-high 30 runs and nine doubles, four triples and a home run.
Lauren Fortunato is batting .417 with 13 doubles, three home runs and 26 RBI.

Amanda Carilli has been a sold workhorse in the circle. She has a 12-13 record and one save in 26 appearances with a 2.80 era.

RPI is led by Stephanie Caudle. She's hitting .449 with 11 doubles, one triple, three homeruns and 39 RBI. She's also the team's top pitcher with a 12-4 record, 1.83 era and 108 strikeouts in 114.2 innings. The Engineers have a deep staff with Victoria Hepworth sporting an 8-2 record and 2.22 era in 18 starts.
